| The Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain State Park
The 18-hole championship course at Cumberland Mountain State Park was the first course opened on the state-wide Bear Trace project. It was named one of the "top ten courses you can play" by GOLF Magazine, in a category of daily fee golf courses which opened in 1998. The Jack Nicklaus design takes advantage of elevation changes as well as natural features, such as flowing streams and clustered pines. The Bear Trace is a collection of Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses at select Tennessee State Parks. There are five Bear Trace sites throughout the state of Tennessee.

| The Brae Course at Heatherhurst
Heatherhurst Golf Club is currently undergoing a transformation. The newly-named 18-hole Brae Course is made up of the original Creek and Mountain 9-hole tracts. The front nine provides the most challenge, including a number 4 hole, which features a double dogleg fairway. This hole is considered by some as the toughest Par 5 in Tennessee requiring a long tee shot across a deep ravine. The undulating fairways and bunkers guarantee a challenging and scenic round. | The Crag Course at Heatherhurst
The anticipated completion of nine additional holes by June of 2000 creates a brand new 18-hole course, to be called The Crag Course at Heatherhurst Golf Club. As with The Brae Course, it will feature Bent grass tees and green. The former Pine course will compliment the new nine. Its well-maintained, wide fairways are great for short hitters, but strategically placed bunkers create a demanding day on the links. Heatherhurst was awarded both "Good Service" and Good Value" rating from Golf Digest's Places to Play. | Lake Tansi Village
Lake Tansi Village Golf Course is one of the top-rated courses in the state. The 18-hole semi-private course plays host to several Tennessee PGA-section official events. Having earned a reputation for great greens, Tansi is always fun to play. Nothing makes a good golf course better than smooth, slick greens. Mountain Ridge Golf Club offers a top-notch 18-hole challenge to better than average players. The course is hilly with many trees that can affect your game. Water comes into play on some holes. Yet, with wide fairways and large greens, the course plays fair for the beginning golfer as well. The Number 3 signature hole provides a scenic vista atop a bluff overlooking the green.
